This wine is 100% from our Los Alamos estate and is a combination of clones 76, 95, 96 and Hudson. Yields were 3.8 lbs./plant (3.6 tons/acre) and were harvested by hand then gently whole-cluster pressed, cold settled overnight and transferred by gravity to barrel for fermentation in 8% new French (Damy) oak, partial malolactic (±15%) and subsequent sur lie aging without any lees disturbance.
Tasting Notes: Boasting bright yellow-gold hues, this wine exudes fresh exotic notes of star fruit, pineapple skin, Meyer lemon, monoi oil and dried banana chip. Other pleasing hints of ginger flower, tuberose, quince, pear and tamarind drift in the background. There is a definitive quarry stone and rock salt component weaving through the wine along with suggestions of wild sage, hazelnut, yellow carrot and yellow-cake. The palate has drive and minerality with ample substance.
