This wine is 100% from our Sta. Rita Hills estate and is a combination of clones 4, 76, 95 and Wente. Yields were 3.9lbs./plant (3.5 tons/acre) and were harvested by hand then gently whole-cluster pressed, cold settled overnight and transferred by gravity to barrel for fermentation in 4% new French (Damy) oak, partial malolactic (±15%) and subsequent sur lie aging without any lees disturbance. 14.9% alcohol.
Tasting Notes: Richer and more focused than its brethren above, this wine has intense aromatics of lemon-lime zest, limequat, white peach, saline and chalk. Lifted floral nuances of kaffir leaf, orange blossom and jasmine intermix with intriguing scents of agave nectar, nopales, jicama and lemon oil. On the palate, the wine expands these qualities while emphasizing its density delivering sensations of minerals and brine. The finish envelopes your entire palate with precision, focus, weight and elegance.
