This wine is 100% from our Santa Rita Hills estate and is a combination of clones 4, 76, and 95. The fruit was harvested by hand then gently whole-cluster pressed, cold settled overnight and transferred by gravity to barrel for fermentation in 6% new French (Damy) oak, partial malolactic (±10%) and subsequent sur lie aging without any lees disturbance. 2831 cases produced. 15.3% alcohol.
Tasting Notes: With an electric green-gold hue this wine has an elusive and fresh aromatic array of saline, limes, lemon drops, lemon-lime margarita, green apple skin, white currants and white apricots. Even more alluring are the other aspects of chalk, saltwater taffy, angel food cake, gingerbread, seashell, Italian parsley and orange-flower blossom. In the mouth, the wine is ample and fleshy yet remains very chiseled, delineated and crisp.
